Nature
Indonesia is an archipelago with more than 13.000 islands. Only about 6.000 islands have been named. The 5 biggest are Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan (Borneo), Sulawesi, Irian (Papua). Java is the most populated. As archipelago, Indonesia has a lot of beautiful beaches. No one can deny the beauty of beaches in Bali, Lombok, Nias, Sulawesi.. the under water beauty is a truly treasure. The most popular under water beauty is “Bunaken” in Sulawesi. Resorts in remote islands can be perfect runaway from stressful days. Mountains spread all over the country. Probably Indonesia is the most mountainous country in the world. It has beautiful countryside scenery. There are a lot of forest especially outside Java. Borneo is the island of jungle. It is the Amazon of Asia. Borneo is the only place in the world where Orang Utan lives.

Climate
Due to the location around the equator, Indonesia has tropical climate all the year. The temperature is about 27 ºC – 31 ºC. There are two season: rainy and dry season. Rainy season usually starts in November and ends around April.
People
Indonesia has about 350 tribes and each tribe has its own language and culture. However Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian language) becomes national language. The language is a bridge to communicate among different tribes. Indonesia has motto “ Bhineka Tungal Ika “ or Unity in Diversity. The outstanding richness of culture is reflected in every phase of life as a man. There are various traditions, traditional ceremonies, arts, characters, philosophy. Generally, Indonesian people are well known as friendly society. No wonder if tourists from other countries feel Indonesia as home.
